In modern large organizations (Nation states, companies...), the IT component plays a significant and critical role. Organizations seek to automate and optimise their operations. Innovation is as important, not among the least, to stay ahead of the competition. IT has also the potential to transform organizations and to drive work/business activities to achieve greater goals. For this (growth, prosperity...) to happen, technology advances, Data science and Digital tools must all come to bear!
People & Data are Key. For tools to be relevant, appropriate..., An organization needs to self organizing (Vision, Missions, Plans...), self informing and finding joy in sharing (Giving, Transacting, Playing...)
Resourcing is key. People, all people (Human resources...) and information (Data...) and T&T (Tools & Technologies...) must be aligned and synchronized to Year, Month, Week, Day... Plans and Calendars.
Teaming & Calendaring are Key. In archaic/primitive approaches, only stage considered as work. Implement/perform, execute process/method. If work is technical, or for tech project - make small, test often.
Value & Measuring are Key. Only outputs of "Do". Is it working as predicted?, as planned? If not, what gap and why? What could/can we learn from this experience. Always done immediatly after "Do" to register "Lesson..." learnt.
Track & Support are Key. Look to outcomes, posibilities... of "Do" Review test. Analyze result. Identify learnt, Standardize goals, Revise, Adapt, Adopt... Use in planning + or - for next iteration.
Data is Key. Remember that when correct, this (Data) is the basic raw material for information , facts, skills, knowledge, understanding, wisdom - in some form of hierarchy!
Planning & Doing in Deming Cycle are key. Most important role in the solution domains. Almost always answering to "Accountable role" Sometimes to self in ownership role. Very often, and in one project/work, several "responsibles" report to one "accountable"
Checking & Acting in Deming Cycle are key. Highest in the organizational hierarchy of most project work, answering to the greater community/sovereign. Best in leadership/problem articulation roles. Holds the "responsibles" each to some "measure of truth"
Checking in Deming Cycle is Key. Also the person who must be consulted before an important decision or action is taken. Upline or downline, for some reason his opinion is sought.
Acting in Demimg Cycle is Key is key. Also the person or persons who must be informed that an important decision or action has been taken. May be upline level, like people representatives or downline for fairness, further execution.
